I used to absolutely love clothing shopping. I would spend free afternoons over holiday breaks and leisurely jump from store to store with some things in mind to look for, but mostly just enjoying the possibility of coming across something I loved at a great sale price. Now that I have a gaggle of kids, my free time is extremely precious and it has to be very carefully spent. I so rarely make it to a dressing room alone and I’m usually on my way to pick up a child or two so my decisions are hastily made, but I still love shopping for clothes and getting new outfits to update my wardrobe.
Enter Relish Clothing and their Mystery Boxes! Everyone loves a good surprise, and I for one, love the idea of new and currently fashionable clothes arriving on my doorstep, where I don’t have to do the shopping myself and I don’t have to make any hard decisions!
Relish Clothing sells three differently sized boxes, each at an exceptional price with NO STYLING FEE! You get to discuss your preferences with your personal stylist and dictate your style aesthetic. You can jot down things you’re looking for, things to avoid, as well as specific Relish pieces you love. A great way to share your style is by sharing your Pinterest style board so they can see what colors and patterns you gravitate towards.
- The mini box is $99 and contains 3-5 on trend, high quality and stylish surprise items.
- The small box is $149 and contains 6-7 items and maybe even a luxe item, which could include sterling accessories, high end clothing pieces, artisan jewelry, leather belts, outerwear, or premium denim.
- The large box contains 8-9 pieces, with possibly a few luxe items. At no cost to facilitate this review, I was sent a Large Box, and I’m excited to show you all the goods! Here’s what I received in my box:
I told my stylist: My style is classic/romantic/preppy, and I’m a size S/M, but I’m quite busty, so I always size up. I prefer sleeves on tops and dresses/shorts that go to my knees. Please avoid empire waists and asymmetrical cardigans!
I received a skirt, a sweater, a casual top, a hooded button-up, a blazer, a necklace, and a dressy top, and all basically within my style requests! I was pretty pleased and enjoyed wearing my favorite pieces throughout the week. Here are some of my favorite looks from the box:
I loved this skirt the moment I saw it! I actually saw it first on The Relish Box Pinterest Board and hoped it would be in my box. It felt a little long falling at mid-calf on me, so I hemmed it a few inches shorter and love the way it fits.
I wasn’t so sure about this sweater, but when I put it on and my husband said that he actually really likes it, I instantly decided it was a keeper. Its really time to throw out the sloppy sweatshirts and replace them with comfy knit sweaters like this!
This casual top feels like the perfect Spring/Summer shirt to me. It is loose with great textures and fun colors and I think it pairs well with shorts and capris of different colors.

This hooded button-up top is a close-second favorite! This was exactly the kind of piece I hoped would show up, especially since I had so much plaid in my Pinterest style board that I shared with Relish. It is soft, high-quality, and the removable hood in the back makes it extra cute.
I’ve been fascinated by clothing subscription boxes for awhile, but most of them make you pay for each individual item you want to keep. A stylist picks out some things they think you’ll like, but you have to make further decisions and more payments with every article on your “keep” list. With Relish, you get to keep everything. Its an “all or nothing” styling service, so you and keep or return everything within the 15-day window of the return policy.
So what if you like some or most of your items, but there are a few that just aren’t things you’d realistically wear? You are not out of luck. Perhaps the most awesome (and super fun!) part of getting a box from Relish Clothing is that you are not at all stuck with things you don’t want to keep because you can join the Relish Clothing Trading Group on Facebook! Its a group of more than 1,600 members who are all Relish customers that are interested in buying, selling, and trading the items from their boxes.
I listed two items that I was willing to trade/sell and both were sold within 12 hours! I found two items for sale that I really loved — this leather jacket and the long striped top that other members listed for sale, and all four of these transactions were done through paypal in minutes! Everyone I’ve met in the group has been so helpful and kind, and quick to ship and share tracking information.

So fun, right? The anticipation of waiting for your box to arrive, the thrill of unwrapping each item, and then the unlimited trading and selling afterwards is what makes the Relish Mystery Boxes so fun, and the reason why it is such a popular clothing service! I think the process is a lot of fun, the clothing is high-quality, and the whole experience made for an exciting way to update my wardrobe!
